The advanced Quality Control (QC) unit and central laboratory of Sanan Shimi Saipa go far beyond a conventional monitoring department and act as the brain behind product formulation and final performance assurance. Located in a dedicated technical facility and equipped with precise chemical and physical analysis instruments, this unit is responsible for monitoring full compliance of all processes with Iranian national standards (ISIRI) and leading international norms (ASTM, DIN). At Sanan Shimi Saipa, quality is engineered from the moment raw materials enter the plant, not at the end of the production line.
ISO/IEC 17025 standard and national accreditation
By implementing a laboratory quality management system based on the international ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standard, the Sanan Shimi Saipa laboratory has obtained accreditation from the National Accreditation Center of Iran (NACI). This achievement means that the test results issued by this laboratory carry legal and technical validity at both national and international levels, and the facility is officially recognized as a “partner laboratory of the Institute of Standards,” serving as a trusted reference for lubricant quality evaluation in the country.
Scope of activities and quality oversight
The quality control cycle at Sanan Shimi Saipa is a continuous, gap‑free process:
Incoming raw material inspection (Incoming QC)
No shipment is unloaded without laboratory approval. Before being transferred to storage tanks, all raw materials are sampled and their critical parameters are verified against the reference certificates of analysis.
In‑process production control (In‑Process Control)
Detailed manufacturing instructions and formulations (recipes) are prepared by laboratory specialists and communicated to the production unit. During the blending operations, multiple samples are taken to ensure homogeneity and accuracy of the blend.
Final product control (Final QC)
Before packaging, finished products undergo stringent performance tests such as boiling point determination, viscosity measurement at various temperatures, and corrosion tests. Only after a “Quality Certificate” (QC Pass) is issued are the products authorized for packaging and transfer to the warehouse.
